Ordinary legislative procedure
The ordinary legislative procedure (formerly known as the co-decision) is the main legislative process by which EU laws are adopted. The process in brief is as follows: Commission submits a law proposal to the European Parliament and the Council that jointly pass a law after a varying number of reviews, hearings and readings.
