About the glossary#

This glossary is a living document that will evolve beyond the lifetime of the FOCUS project. It explains acronyms and terms (with references) relevant for EU security and for the planning of security research in a 2035 time frame, as covered by the FOCUS project. Glossary content was compiled from FOCUS deliverables and documents as well as supporting desk research. FOCUS created this basic glossary on security research to promote a common understanding on the subject for use by the public, authorities, researchers and practitioners.

How to use the glossary#

You can use the glossary by:

  1. Browsing - use the hyperlinked total list of glossary entries ("children pages") below;
  2. Listing recent changes or performing full-text search by using the menu bar/search field in the right upper corner.

Contributing to the glossary#

Feedback from external experts to improve and expand this glossary will be most welcome. It is intended to open this wiki at a later stage for crowdsourcing of acronyms and terms. In the meantime, if you would like to suggest an addition or make a comment, please contact the FOCUS coordinator.

Contributions are particularly welcome to those pages that are currently under construction.
